Sunset over the Adirondack Mountains and ice formations on Lake Champlain from Burlington, Vermont.
Winter can be quite harsh on Lake Champlain but this year we got a lot of freeze/thaw cycles making for some great ice compositions! You can always find something different from day to day and on this day I was out shooting between storm systems. The clouds had cleared from one system and here you can see clouds from another system building into the area.
The wispy clouds took on a painterly look and I really loved the reflected light that was bouncing all over the place. Oftentimes most people think Winter is quite ugly but it really can be beautiful if you know where to look.
