Description
I created this landscape photograph of a single lone tree at the Kissimmee Prairie State Park in late March of 2016 while hiking with my family. The rangers and staff conduct periodic "burns" to simulate what nature does to promote the ecological health of the park. This lone tree was apparently caught in one such "burn" and will still continue to provide both housing and support for many other types of wildlife until it is eventually naturally returned to nature.
