Photographic artwork by Cindy Treger. Photographed near Lake Meade, East Berlin, PA. This juvenile ruby-throated hummingbird (archilochus colubris) was perched on a branch giving a perfect view of its feathers. It's starting to get some of its signature green feathers on its head, but it has a way to go. By the time of its fall migration all of its feathers will be filled in.
I authored and included many of my hummingbird photos in a book titled "Ruby-throated Hummingbird Facts and Photos." It has many hummingbird facts that are sure to fascinate you. It is available through Amazon.
