In The Commons, a retirement village in Enid, Oklahoma, one will find a peaceful "duck" pond to enjoy a variety of ducks and geese. On one particular morning, Momma Mallard decided to take her little ones on a walk. She left the pond, crossed the lawn, then crossed the sidewalk....and I was thinking "don't take them into or across the street!" Which is exactly what she did. She lead them to where lawn irrigation water had flowed over the curb and along a driveway. She had obviously taken them on this little journey before, as they ended up jumping out ahead of her during their adventure!
