Description
Back to my first love, old architecture. This is the Kelsey Creek School otherwise known as "Hells Bend" School in Finley, California. It gets its name from an old story about some of the locals getting drunk and having "hell to pay". The original school was built in 1860 near Kelseyville. It was dismantled in 1871 and rebuilt using some of the same materials on the Quercus Ranch near the big bend of Kelsey Creek. In 1882 the school was relocated to its current location on Finley Road in Finley, California. Enjoy!!!
