Heceta Head Lighthouse along with the assistant lightkeepers’ house are located near the headland north of Florence, Oregon. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Big Creek Bridge is a little further north on U.S. Route 101 past the viewpoint that goes to the parking lot of the lighthouse. The Heceta Head Light has a lighthouse which was built in 1894 and is 56-foot tall. The lighthouse shines a beam visible for 21 miles out to sea which makes it the strongest light on the Oregon Coast.
