Description

This is an update to my original acrylic mixed media abstract tropical painting by Sharon Eng. In this revised painting, I have added some gold paint to the fronds of one of the trees and lightened the background some. The mixed media painting incorporates various art papers and paint to depict an abstract, stylized palm tree grove. Out-of-focus shadows hint of some activity and other things in the background. I imagine these palm trees on some sunny beach in Florida or the Caribbean at a resort with Calypso or Island music playing from the nearby tiki bar. The shadows can be beach strollers, hotel staff bringing refreshing drinks and towels to the guests soaking in the sun by the beach.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many of my abstract and semi-abstract works would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers.
