Goat Rock State Park
Just south of Jenner where the Russian River flows into the Pacific Ocean is a nice beach on the Sonoma Coast named Goat Rock. Goat Rock is one of the most popular beaches in Sonoma County. What's not to love.
Unless you live in Jenner, the drive out to Goat Rock is beautiful no matter what direction you come from. The drive up the coast from points southward take you past many beaches and turnouts along the coast. I could spend hours at each one if time allowed.
The drive in on River Road along the Russian River is the direction I took this time. Beautiful drive that takes you through a few small towns including Guerneville. I stopped at the local deli and bought a sandwich and took the drive through the redwoods out to the coast.
