Glacier National Park in the northwest corner of Montana on the U.S./Canadian border was home to Native American Indians. Blackfeet, Flathead, Shoshone and Cheyenne Indians roamed through these mountains, hunting, and defending their space. They called these beautiful unusual mountains "The spine of the world".
Going to the Sun: It took twenty years and three million dollars to finish the 52 miles long road. The name of this highway comes from an old Indian legend about a Spirit who came down from the sky to help those in trouble. Then he would go back to the sun.
