Giant Anteater. I have never seen a real live anteater. This one is a GIANT anteater. What an interesting looking animal. This amazing animal lives at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC.
Something interesting I learned: giant anteaters can sprint up to 30 miles per hour.Wow, who would have thought! Their diet consists of ants, termites, and grubs. They are interesting to watch. This one did a lot of pacing, didn't stay still nor visible for long. It was a fun challenge to capture him. Emmy Vickers,
