#9 Top Finish in the contest… GORGEOUS GREEN CREATURES CONTEST, 05/27/2023, Members Participating: 203, Images Submitted: 527
Our friendly alligator, Alfred, returned on the day after Christmas sunning himself on our bank by Heritage Lake, Punta Gorda, Fl. The temperature that morning was 37 degrees Fahrenheit so I am sure the sun felt good. As soon as he saw, or heard me approaching to take some photos, he dove into the water and circled around to get a better look at me. His eye was on me the whole time, no doubt determining if I was a threat. I took this photo as he slowly turned toward me heading wearily in my direction for a better look. Soon afterward he turned away, went underwater and across the lake.

Superior shot. No one know what lurks beneath the water. Superb capture of the reflections, a dead give-away of the gator.

👍 GARY: "It’s hard to tell if humans will live beyond this century etc. !" - Indeed Gary that is so, - but, amongst the justified gloom and doom - there are also some 'green shoots' springing up - like electric cars, increasing solar-power use, high Climate Change awareness etc. etc. - So there is still hope... (hopefully!) - 🌳 🍀 🌵

👍 - Gary you shot an intriguing, great emerald colored photo of an Alligator. I wonder - and doubt - if we, as a specie, will last as long as they have ! ? 🐊
