Recently spent several hours exploring and photographing the rural areas of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, which besides its namesake contains Demontreville and at least 20 other lakes. Several inches of heavy snow encased everything like thick cake-frosting – trees, fields, lakes, buildings, roads, power lines – and when the sun broke through the whole Twin Cities area became a Christmas Wonderland.
