Figure drawings of male backs have always been a favorite to artists because of the intricate muscular forms and the bone structures providing a great foundation for value studies.
This drawing was completed while attending Figure Studio I class at the Academy of Art University Graduate Program in 2012. This figure study focuses on the muscles and bone structure of a male back while controlling value range and producing a realistic figure. This drawing was selected by my instructor to be submitted to the Academy of Art University Spring 2012 Fine Art Show.
