Description

A gorgeous path along Lake Nevin in Bernheim Forest here in Kentucky. I loved how the path just lead us into all the beautiful Autumn colors with a bit of the lake in view. I have used textures and effects to give the photo a painterly look.
At Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest their goal is to connect nature with people's everyday lives. They understand and believe that if people recognize the benefits from interaction with nature, then they will be motivated to do their part to help protect the natural world. There are eleven trails at Bernheim Forest that allow visitors to get out and experience nature in their own peaceful, individual way. Explore the 35 miles of trails and see the variety of birds and plant life present. Bikers can enjoy the roads at Bernheim, as well as the Hike-Bike Pike. Fishing can also be done in Lake Nevin, and geo caching spots can be found throughout the forest. Hosting a wide variety of scheduled programs and special events, there is always something new to learn at Bernheim. Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest is a beautiful, functional example of the natural world and how to enjoy it.
