Easily lost in work, and almost always engaged in some aspect of preparing to paint or painting itself, things have been different lately. I'm preoccupied and agitated along with everyone else.
One solution, I thought, might be to attempt a jiu jitsu maneuver using the distraction itself as focus for a piece.
Sharing personal experience via artifice and hoping it resonates, I present a still life I'd never have imagined creating even two weeks ago.
