Christmas 2020 ~ New Years 2021

Dear Customers and Fellow Artists, Friends and Family,

This is my first time posting my annual Christmas Letter on this platform. (I am making this photo available as greeting cards and fine art prints which can be ordered from this page.)

My prayer is that each of you precious ones had a blessed Christmas Season. I wish you a safe and healthy 2021 filled with God’s amazing blessings for you and your family.

To be quite honest, I was debating whether to write my annual update this year, as 2020 was challenging and painful. However, I still felt led to write. For me, 2020 was also a year of personal growth and opportunity.

By way of personal growth, I felt God led me to go more deeply into prayer and dependence on Him. It is a balance to do my best in all areas of life, and allow God to do His part. Indeed, 80% of life is how we respond to the 20% that happens in our thinking and circumstances.

I believe the great “pause” of 2020 not only compelled us to slow down, but also was an opportunity to reveal things in our society that normally would not have been revealed. According to Luke 12:3, things which are said privately are becoming public knowledge, and that which has been whispered secretly behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops.

I am grateful to God the Creator that this was a year of opportunity particularly in the area of photography, as the Lord provided many wildlife photo ops, more than in previous years. There are nearly 280 premium quality wildlife and nature images featured on my fine art website, PropheticPortraits.net, many of which have won awards, for which I give God the glory.

Several of these will be included in my nature photography book, which I will be launching soon along with my wellness coaching practice. My book will also include some life lessons I’ve learned while observing God’s creation in nature.

I want to conclude by dedicating this letter in loving memory of Mom and Dad. This will be the third Christmas without both of them. How I miss them! I am comforted by the fact that precious Esao and Cheryl received Yeshua Jesus into their hearts and one day, I will see them in Heaven.

How about you? God forbid, but if you were to die tonight, do you have complete assurance that you would be in Heaven? If there is any doubt, simply say these words from your heart, as my parents and I have done:

“Father God, please forgive me of my sins.
Yeshua Jesus, come into my heart.
Make me the kind of person You want me to be.
Thank You for saving me today.”

Dear reader, if you prayed that and meant it from your heart, Congratulations, you are now part of God’s Royal Family, and the angels of Heaven are throwing a party in your honor! Please let me know you have made this most important decision, so that I can rejoice with you! I know Mom and Dad in Heaven are rejoicing, too!

My heart-felt prayer is for God’s Psalm 91 protection and the very best of health to you and your family, now and throughout 2021, the first year of the New Decade.

Photography notes:

A plethora of vibrant red pyracantha berries are seen in this photo taken near Mill Valley, California in December 2020. I added the Scripture from Isaiah 9:6: "For unto us a Child is born, onto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ב ס " ד] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist and photographer of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
