Cape Hatteras Light is a lighthouse located on Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina near the community of Buxton, and is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It is the world's tallest brick lighthouse. In 1999 it was moved inland away from the coast because of erosion.
The ORIGINAL pastel painting is available for $685.00. The painting size is 19.5 X 23.5. The painting is mounted on acid free FCB and double matted (colonial green, top mat and licorice, 1/4 under mat) and will be shipped with another peice of FCB to prevent damage during shipping. About Cathy Lindsey. I have been an artist as long as I can remember. My specialty is Portraits and Pastels. I took years off from drawing knowing that one day I would return to doing what I love. I've said for many years that I wanted to retire and paint lighthouses. I have dreamed of going to the Outer Banks in NC and taking photos to work from. I made that trip for the first time in 2012 and we loved the Outer Banks so much we are planning on retiring there someday. I bought the cameras to capture images to paint from, and fell in love with photography. It has become a passion on its own. I love traveling and taking photos and hope to be a full-time photographer and artist in the near future. I love shooting weddings and private events.
