Some have believed it, but it is a lie like so many others who have told us.
Look at this old woman and tell me; Is she better this way or dressed like those in asylum? ... According to the two ways she is still old, but one of them looks happy and cheerful, with a touch of pious madness.
Look closely at the terrifying images. They are always crazy old people or evil and dead. Evidence evident of the fear that gives us old age and death.
The best way to ward off those fears is to hang this picture in a very visible place.
