Description
A water fountain in Bryant Park has two autumn leaves in its basin and is surrounded by additional autumn leaves on slate below. Bryant Park is a 9 acre park located between 5th and 6th avenues and 40th and 42nd streets in Manhattan, New York City. It was established in 1686 as an open public space by New Yorks colonial Gavernor Thomas Dongan. The park received its current name in 1884 to honor New York Evening Post editor William Cullen Bryant. The New Your City Public Library bounds the Parks eastern edge. Below Bryant Park resides the New York City Public Librarys archives.
