Description
On the corner of Ipswich and Van Ness stands the Teammates Statue outside of Gate B.
The statue was by artist Antonia Tobias Mendez as a tribute to the for teammates Ted Williams, Dom DiMaggio, Bobby Doerr, and Johnny Pesky.
The plaque on the side of the monument reads:
"Red Sox teammates for seven seasons, but best friends for a lifetime... They left an unmatched legacy in Red Sox history... To Red Sox fans the world over, they are simply known as Bobby, Ted, Dom and Johnny."
