Description
This is an image of maturing betel fruit and the tiny new flowers that are forming on a betel palm. On my neighbor's property hundreds of these palms were flowering as well as many other exotic palm varieties. Unbeknownst to most people, some of the palm species, especially in my experience, the areca palm family (of which betel palms are part of) palms flowers are wildly and exotically fragrant. On the morning I was on their farm, the intensity of fragrance was heady and intoxicating.
