Description
This photograph was taken in late October on the Androscoggin River in Turner, Maine. Despite the 40°F temperatures, I headed out on my kayak for one of my last trips of the year. Normally, I am looking for wildlife, but it was duck season, so the gun blasts started right around sunrise. Once the gunshots quieted, the sea planes and the fishermen littered the river. Between the gunshots and the fishermen, I did find a few minutes of peace and enjoyed the beauty of the river despite being late in the foliage season.
