In loving memory of Bear, laid to rest May 12, 2015

Bear was an 11-year-old, male, Chocolate Lab, belonging to my son's family. A more gentle, loving and faithful family pet you will not find. Bear's obvious affection and the concern he openly displayed for his family members, earned him the nickname, Care Bear.
The brightly colored, braided strands, hanging from Bear's collar, are friendship bracelets, lovingly made and tied by the hands of my 8-year-old granddaughter, Kathryn Faith.
In the autumn years of his life, Bear endured the normal hardships of being old; difficulty getting up and moving more slowly. The one part of Bear that never showed a lack of energy is the happy, enthusiastic wagging of his tail.

Doug, what a beautiful tribute to a wonderful dog! He looks like such a happy devoted fella.....beautiful work. Did you notice...or maybe its by design.....but on yout Images page, Bear-Bear is right next to a bear, each having the same pose?! Lf

Doug, you certainly have our deepest sympathies on the loss of Bear, as we lost Tiera this year too. It is very difficult to say goodbye to such a devoted and loving friend as man's best friend. Bear looks & sounds like he not only gives love & devotion but also receives it Doug ,our pets are so special & its hard to watch them struggle in old age .. our Tuki has been gone 4 months now ,she was with the family for 15 yrs & is missed so much
