I spent a few days in the Allagash scoping out the wildlife in the area. One of my first nights, I was taken to an area that had to big bull moose. I decided to get up early the next morning and go kayaking and hope they were feeding again. Low and behold, there were three moose, one female and two males that ate in the same area each morning and evening. I was able to work my way in with them until they let me just a few short feet away. When this guy walked away on my final day, I spoke to him and said "bye" and "thank-you". He turned around and stood there just looking at me. I think he gave me a lengthy photo op as his good-bye to me.
