"Alert Deer by Bridge in Cades Cove" by Patti Deters. This pretty forest landscape was photographed off a trail at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee, southern USA. The deer was drinking from the river and became instantly alert as I just stepped of a bridge. I was lucky to witness this beautiful and peaceful scene on a summer afternoon in late May.
