The Scarce Bamboo Page or Dido Longwing (Philaethria dido) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found in from the Amazon Rainforest up to Mexico. Rare strays can be found in the lower Rio Grande Valley of South Texas.
It is among the most beautiful and graceful of neotropical butterflies. It is regarded as being fairly common throughout most of its range but is rarely seen as it spends most of it's life high in the forest canopy.
