I aspire to give the viewer a new emotional perspective in which we can appreciate everyday situations as we deal exclusively with how people appear when in reality there is more than what we see. As a hyper-realistic artist, I use a pencil to create drawings that go beyond a photograph.
These objects and scenes in my drawings are meticulously detailed to create the illusion of a new reality not seen in the original photo. My style focuses on emphasizing details of the depicted subject, often not seen by the human eye. Hyper-realistic paintings and sculptures are not strict interpretations of photographs, nor are they literal illustrations of a particular scene or subject. My work is a distinct departure from the older and more literal school of Photorealism.
