Laura Lagarde is is a long time resident of the West Kootenays in British Columbia, Canada, currently making Nelson her home base.   She is a self taught artist, having picked up a paint brush for the first time in 2015.   She quickly developed a passion for it, and considers it her own 'happy accident'.   She works mainly with acrylic and draws inspiration from the natural beauty that exists in her corner of the world.   She loves the challenge of trying to capture the vivid colours and the way the light and shadows play together to create the beautiful landscapes we see around...more
