“I paint a world I have inhabited since childhood” I have been an artist ever since I began drawing cartoons at the age of six.   My inspiration still comes from that same childlike delight.   I love the worlds I paint and each painting takes me on a different magical journey.   I also owe a great debt to Nova Scotia folk artist, Maud Lewis, whose work I have always admired.   As each new day unfolds, images build in my mind and, as I usually paint at night, by the time I get going, I have a clear mental picture of each painting which then pours forth like my dreams come to...more
