Oil painting is the technique of painting with pigments with a medium of drying oil as the binder. Oils are most used by me. I enjoy the patient process of drying oils including linseed oil, poppy seed oil, walnut oil, and safflower oil. The choice of oils is important for me to create a top quality painting. Drying time is essential to allow the piece to take proper form. I treasure this type of media the most because with an abundance of research. I have learned to love the history of art and the finest painters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and much more. With a combination of historical study and my Native American culture, I combine ideas I create a painting that tells a story.
