Alena Jean Turner was born in 1990 and grew up in Rhode Island. Formal art training for her began in 2001, which consisted of training in pencil drawings and oil paintings, mostly from still-life. Since then, she has also dabbled in other mediums and subjects, like colored pencils and watercolors. For her artwork, Alena has won two different Scholastic Art Awards, been featured as an artist in her hometown's local newspaper twice, and has displayed artwork in Provo, Utah's Homegrown Art Show. more
