Description
On a trip to Ireland, we visited the great poet, William Butler Yeats' grave at Drumcliffe. His grave was simple, as he requested. The trip opened up a new world of poetry for me. This image is named after his famous poem.
Drumcliffe Church, located in County Sligo, Ireland, is where William Butler Yeats (1865–1939) is buried in the graveyard. The beautiful pointed arched doorway is graced with heavy double wood doors with two gorgeous swan handles that were a gift from the Yeats Society in Australia to represent Yeats' poem, The Wild Swans at Coole, written in 1919.
