Description
Early May in the northern Virginia Blue Ridge, and the wild geranium seems to be blooming everywhere in the G. R. Thompson Wildlife Management Area on Blue Mountain in Linden, Virginia. These little blossoms can be found anywhere along the trails where the dappled sunlight breaks through the forest canopy, their pretty pink and lavender a pretty contrast against the deep, shadowy greens that surround them. I thought this bunch looked especially pretty, sitting in a sunny spot in front of an old fallen tree trunk.
