Description
Whenever I see skulls I think of the line: “Get busy living or get busy dying.” This painting is my version of a “memento mori,” a meditation on the shortness of life. If you look closely, you will see little embers left in each of the eyes. Excluding the background, I used just 3 colors: raw sienna, burnt umber, and ivory black.
