Description
This is the web of a tiny (1/4" body) Araneidae Cycles conica Spider. It built the web on a dry stalk of Black Cohosh in the woods.
I made it black and white to accent the pattern of the silken strands.
I took the picture October 6, 2016, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA, with a Canon T4i and a Tamron 90 mm macro lens.

Great shot! It reminds me of a galaxy in space!
Carol Senske replied:
Thanks! I thought so, too:>) When the sun is at a certain angle, all these tiny "Cyclosa conica" webs suddenly become visible and shine like mini-galaxies all through the woods - so beautiful! I had to but the spider name in quotes because spellcheck keeps changing it! So annoying!

Oh, this is fantastic Carol :) f/v tw
Carol Senske replied:
I am so happy you enjoyed this, Jolanta. The woods are filled with the tiny webs and they shine in the sun. Each breeze makes them undulate and shimmer - so pretty!
