Description
This is part of a 3 part (the 2nd or the middle main part) scene of Victoria Falls in Africa. Somebody commissioned me to do it this way since it is such an expansive water falls. They wanted some type of bird in each of the 3 parts. In this one show 3 colorful birds on the fore ground bush. A person can order any one of the images separately or buy all 3, great for an expansive hall, family room or conference room. This type of realism takes about 10-15 glazes of Acrylic paint.

Paul Henderson has been painting for over 40 years. His work has been shown in many states, especially in the western states and Hawaii. He works in acrylic, oil, watercolor and even 'COFFEE' which has been shown on TV. He paints from abstract to super detail, from loose landscapes to creative Fantasy/Space, from Western to Iconic American Indian images.
He has gone full circle- he started with experimenting and then got more detailed and realistic every year especially with the wildlife paintings that sold through Collector's Galleries and Collector's Editions out of Canoga Park, CA. They had 3 galleries in Hawaii and one in Carmel at that time.
But he decided to take most of 2010 and just experiment again. This has literally set his creative juices on fire and will continue from now on with even more creative experiments in techniques and media. Two such media have been the use of different textured papers and attaching throw-away Styrofoamfrom packing boxes to the canvas. Right now he is also doing a series of loose still-lifes of wine settings. So watch what's coming next ... who knows! He loves to try different methods: it keeps him fresh and invigorated. After all 'variety is the spice of life' and Paul is full of passion to express and create life...colorful living images.
