This photo was taken at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, commonly known as Sacré-Cœur Basilica and often simply Sacré-Cœur. My daughter and I went there for the first time during the record breaking heat and even though we were so hot we still managed to walk to the top and enjoy the breathtaking views. There are many fun facts that I was unaware of until after our first visit and that it is known to be one of the most peaceful places of the city and I must agree. There are many artists and locals simply sitting and enjoying the view as they listen to many on street performances. Needless to say my daughter and I were drawn back there and each time we felt a sense of peace truly magical. This photo is one of the statues situated at the front of the church protecting this beautiful and historical building.
