While riding my bike in the Central Business District I glanced upwards and noticed this makeshift clothes line on upper roof of a slave quarter. The building was in a section which still had apartments to the rear. Many of the older buildings were removed neglected and turned into parking lots, or modern high rises. Photo taken of makeshift clothes line atop a building located in the Downtown Business section of New Orleans, Louisiana USA This photo taken with a Cannon EOS 10 35mm film. Suitable hanging in a laundry room.
In New Orleans traditionally you washed your clothes on a Monday and slow cooked a large pot of creamy red beans and rice, with French bread.
