This brings me back to my childhood. My grandfather had one of these in his farmhouse. You could listen in on the party line on any calls to neighbours if you just picked up the receiver. Quite funny. Thanks for bringing me back Jane. Wonderful image. :)

It is amazing how far communication technology has come. I remember just dialing 5 numbers and definitely party lines.
