Gorgeous horizontal fine art photo, primarily in tones of early-morning blues, aqua, and orange, featuring Vancouver Convention Centre at Canada Place, as our cruise ship was about to arrive in port.

This image includes Burrard Inlet, filled with small boats and seaplanes and, in the distance, the beautiful new shimmering and reflective skyline of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada’s largest city.

Two of my favorite color combinations, aqua and orange, are shown here in the beautiful architecture and lighting at the convention centre (British spelling, of course!), still darkened at this early morning hour. It’s about 6 a.m., and most of this modern, magnificent city has not yet awakened. Yet cruisers from the Pacific Princess--the original Love Boat of TV fame--are up, packed, fed, dressed, and ready to explore Vancouver. This city marks the final destination for many of us, who began our journey ten days ago in Fairbanks, Alaska, and journeyed southward to Vancouver.

If you have enough vacation time, I recommend staying a few days in this fascinating city to decompress. From here you can book an evening harbour excursion that includes dinner, then take a ferry the following day to Victoria. Staying overnight in Victoria will give you time to enjoy magnificent buffets at your hotel, another harbour cruise, and a lovely journey through Buchart Gardens. If time allows, you could top it off by driving to Seattle—not to be missed if you are in the area.
