Title
Van Gogh Almond Blossom Slightly Interpreted
Artist
ITI Ion Vincent Danu
Medium
Painting - Acylics
Description
A copy, slightly interpreted, of Van Gogh's Almond Blossom, painted in acrylics on a 18 x 24 inch cardboard (almost the original proportion of 1/ 1,26). A copy commissioned by an american collector and friend. I had great pleasure doing it even if the merit is, of course, 95 % Van Gogh's. Whom, by the way, didn't sign his painting, meant to be a present at the birth of the first and only son of his brother Theo.

Hi Ion--I must admit that I have not ever heard of the piece by Van Gogh. This is nice enough for me. Well done.

Thank you, P J Lewis! The original made me too happy and energized (I have one big reproduction in my room) and I have learned a lot trying to paint it again...But the merit is Vincent's 95 % at least...

Thank you, Ana Maria! I was curious to see if I could do with some succès a replica of one of my favorite Vincent's paintings. It was quite an intriquate and detailed painting, not easy to find a good reproduction of it, either ... I'm glad you tink I did a good job of it. (more than that, I did it for a friend and was payed to do it which didn't hurt...:))
