The USS Ramage (DDG 61) visits the pier along the Thames River in New London, CT. Visible in the background on the Groton side of the river is Fort Griswold, the famous revolutionary era fortification. Behind the Ramage, modules of a VIRGINIA class submarine that is under construction can be seen at the General Dynamics Electric Boat shipyard, which is one of the nation's two submarine builders. See if you can find the American flag (it's like Where's Waldo...there is one in there somewhere). Go America!
