Various sea turtles nest on Florida beaches in the summer. These are mostly loggerheads, but also leatherbacks, greens and occasionally Kemp's Ridley sea turtles. Most of these sea turtles come onto the beach at night, dig a nest and lay their eggs before covering the nest and heading back into the ocean. These tracks appear to have been made by a green sea turtle.
