Description
Alexandre Dumas, a French writer (1802 - 1870), was born Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie on July 24, 1802, in Villers-Cotterêts, France. He was a black author, writing numerous books, including The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers - two of his most famous works.He enlisted in Napoleon's Army following his father's footsteps.
With his earnings from his writings, he purchased land and built the Château de Monte Cristo in Port Marly, Yvelines, France. Today, it is a museum. While he lived in the Chateau, he wrote and entertained friends, until debt forced him to sell the property. He exiled to Russia to escape creditors. He died in his son's home December 5, 1870. His body today, was laid to rest in the Panthéon in Paris

A radiant tulip and I love the quote by Alexandre Dumas! I had not heard it before, but it is spot on! It horrifies me to see people despise and neglect the beautiful life forms with which we are surrounded and which are a gift from God. He will certainly be displeased with such people!
