Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari New Mexico (USA) along the famed and historic Route 66 has been serving travelers since 1939. It is one of the longest continuously operated motels along New Mexico's slice of Route 66. It was named by Smithsonian Magazine as "the last, best and friendliest of the old-time motels". From what I can determine the ‘refrigerated air’ dates from the 1950s and must have been a real selling point! It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
