Tropics Bar and Grill is location on the beach at my favorite hotel, the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu. It's a great place to sit amid the trade winds and people watch those on the beach. The food and drink is magnificent. On Friday evenings, they have a fireworks show that can be viewed from your table or on the beach, or by the swimming pool, for that matter.
This restaurant figures prominently in my thriller, Dead to Life - Sara Mason Mysteries Book Three. I was thinking to use this image on the book cover, but didn't have time to approach the restaurant owner. I ended up using another of my images of Waikiki and Honolulu taken from the top of Diamond Head.
