The Thuja Occidentalis, also referred to as Eastern Arborvitae and Northern White Cedar, can be found near the entrance of Maymont Park, in Richmond, Virginia.

I visited Maymont Park on a rainy afternoon and noticed the thick tree trunk glistening in the rain. I was surprised when I walked behind all of the tree's greenery to see this park bench in front of this old Northern White Cedar that was more than 60 feet tall. The long limbs are somewhat smooth from years of children climbing on the tree's thick sturdy branches.
