Description
This bold looking male Towhee bird, looks as if its smoking a cigar. Of the two Towhees in our yard, a male and female, the male is much harder to photograph. Doesn't really come out into the open, preferring to stay near edge of fence or deck. The female is exact opposite. Is all over the yard in search of worms and bugs.
The male is distinctive in its black color and white markings while the female is overwhelmingly brown.
They seem to have made our yard here in Northeast Tennessee their home.
