Description
This day in the Lofoten Islands in a January winter, we faced gale force winds in our travels. The sun wouldn't begin it's assent over the horizon for another few days remaining in darkness for most of the day this time of the year. We headed from Leknes up to Unstad to see world class beaches, but were stopped in our tracks passing by this view from the farm Gardsysteri looking down the Steinsfjorden or Stein Fjord toward the tiny village or Maervoll. The storm clouds in the distance added drama to this already wonderful scene. For a photographer it doesn't get better than this.
