This cattle chute can be found as you travel the backroads of Santa Barbara County, California. The old chute is actually still serviceable and it was used after the round-up to load cattle into trucks to be hauled to market.
It is located in the Santa Ynez Vallery, in the heart of the Santa Barbara wine counter where cattle ranching is still big business and survives among the grape vineyards that have sprung up all over the valley.
